Transcriptomic Signatures of Sarcoidosis-Associated Pulmonary Fibrosis
Sarcoidosis of the lungs, or pulmonary sarcoidosis, can lead to fibrosis and respiratory failure for only some of the people with the diagnosis. Aiming to identify who is at risk for more severe outcomes, this research will compare changes in RNA transcription between blood samples–both within a group of people with sarcoidosis-associated pulmonary fibrosis (SAPF), and between SAPF versus non-progressing or non-fibrotic cases.
